About

I created this site using Zola. I didn't use any pre-made templates or generative AI; this is all my own work. It runs on a used 2011 Toshiba Satellite which I liberated from the tyranny of Windows 8 with Arch Linux.

I chose the domain name "wandering.place" because:

• I like domain names that can also serve as the name of the site.
• The way I wrote the CSS for the star background, the stars change place every time the site is built, so they wander. A wandering star is the alternative to a fixed star.

Languages

This site's primary language is English. However, if you append /tok/ to any URL (wandering.place/tok/about), you can view the toki pona version of the page.
